1st day

The tour starts from Bucharest – we recommend using the Henri Coanda International Airport. We will pick you up from the airport or your accommodation and drive to our first site, the former Royal Court of Targoviste.
From there we will follow a mountain road, passing by places with great scenery and many stories. The next stop will be a World War I Mausoleum build for the memory of the people who fought in the mountains to unite Romania as we know today.
In addition we will stop for the night and we will have time to walk in the city-center of Bran, in the shadow of Dracula’s castle. Dinner will have a hunting feel to it.
Our accommodation will be in Bran.

2nd day

We will start the day with the eerie feel of the Castle. Above all, we will step into the so-called lair of Dracula. In other words we shall distinguish the myth from the truth. In addition, we can experience the fair that is in front of the castle.
After this the tour takes us to the Rasnov Citadel; this is an old city with a fortress on top of an almost inexpugnable hill. We will make our fill with stories and go to lunch.
After lunch we shall cycle or horse ride in the gorges nearby. Our purpose is to take in as much of the landscape as we can. This particular area is situated in a valley surrounded by stony mountains. One of the attractions that we would like to visit is a beautiful cave used as a hiding place in times of war.
We end the day with a Romanian dish dinner. Our accommodation is also in Bran.

3rd day

We’ll start the day with a good breakfast and drive to Peles Castle – the residence of the First Romanian King. The estate is extremely beautiful and vast, so it will take a good amount of the day to visit and learn all the stories inside.
The second part of the day will be dedicated to visit a canyon; we will climb through the canyon next to beautiful waterfalls.
Dinner will be at our accommodation in Bran.

4th day

After we have breakfast we drive to a the only crater lake in Romania; here we will trek through the forest to visit sulphurous waters and mysterious caves. Moreover we will take in the fresh air and multitude of flowers.
On our way to the accommodation we will visit another natural wonder. This one is also volcanic in nature; first we shall find the great basalt columns; after that we will take some pictures of the sunken lake.
Our accommodation will be in Sighisoara, a medieval city.

5th day

This day is dedicated to the Saxon influence of the surrounding lands. We are starting with The Peasant’s Citadel, a place with much history, but with a wild look to it due to lack of conservation. The day continues with the fortified church of Saschiz and a visit to the potter workshop. Here we shall see how clay is masterfully worked.
Next, we go to visit Viscri, a UNESCO heritage site, frozen in time. It is the place where Prince Charles chose to buy a house and keep the traditions of the place alive. We shall have lunch at the place of a local; here we can observe the tradition of home bread-making.
The afternoon takes us to a mighty citadel, one of the 7 Saxon cities in Romania. Here is the place that protected the Saxons from invasions.
The last thing we shall watch before dinner is the ancient ritual of the cow heard coming back at sunset. We are going to do this in Viscri village, like it was done thousands of times before.
We will have slow food dinner cooked outside at our accommodation in Sighisoara.

6th day

In the morning we will set towards Brasov, but first we are going to visit an old water mill; here our guide will tell us some stories of the place. The second place is an old cave-church that has a very strong energy that can be sensed.
We will have lunch in Brasov, in a traditional restaurant, and after that we will visit the historical center of Brasov with it’s towers and one of the narrower streets in the country.
